Retirees make a splash with this dazzling beachfront kitchen renovation.

Client Brief:

This penthouse, beachfront apartment is owned by a retiree couple looking to make a grand statement. In a modern building with commanding beachfront views the existing kitchen felt dark and outdated. They wanted a fully equipped and spacious entertainers kitchen to host family and friends, with a traditional feel to reflect their personalities. Elevated, luxurious finishes, state of the art appliances and lots of display space to showcase their precious travel memorabilia were must-haves. The couple are third-time clients.

Focal Design Features:

Nothing says coastal luxury like the Hamptons. This framed Hamptons style kitchen perfectly marries coastal with traditional. Understated elegance and simplicity are achieved by pairing back the moulding and embellishments.

A statement island takes centre stage. It is large, featuring a raised centre servery with seating. The remaining island space is separated for food preparation, display and substantial under bench storage.

State of the art appliances, including a Wolf oven and stove, SubZero fridge and bar fridge and Meile dishwasher, make this upmarket kitchen renovation ready to host many wonderful dinner parties with friends and family.
