Camperdown Home
Client Brief
The owner of this apartment wanted to transform their bedroom and home office from drab to fab – without cluttering the modest space. Storage was a primary factor, desiring concealed storage options to help the room feel clean, bright, calm and organised (minus the boring factor).

Design Features
Polyurethane joinery in ‘White On White’ helps to keep the room bright, calm and spacious. The statement feature is the gorgeous fluted, floor to ceiling “bedhead”. Texturally interesting and luxuriously bespoke with a nod to Australia’s iconic corrugated iron homes, it’s the perfect balance of practicality, interest and simplicity.
Behind the fluted bedhead is a generous amount of concealed storage to act as a wardrobe and hold other items.
A contrasting timber feature creates a simple, boxy and geometric element that works cleverly to contrast the curves of the bed head. The timber feature provides shelving and storage to display items and use as bedside tables. Built-in reading lights and power sockets are incorporated to help keep the room highly functional and clutter-free. The choice material is Tasmanian Oak Woodmatt, which adds a decadent yet casual richness and warmth to the room.
Complimentary Office
Echoing the bedroom’s design, the home office space is equally streamlined and compliments in colour and material choice. Smooth, ‘White on White’ polyurethane joinery is used in the office space with concealed storage and a clever, subtle work desk that can be closed when not in use.
Curved edging, recessed lighting and Tasmanian Oak Woodmatt features add an elegant design element and elevate the room’s sense of luxury.
The client is thrilled with their highly functional bedroom and office zones. The areas have been transformed into luxurious, calm and inviting spaces that feel bespoke, understatedly interesting and are also a breeze to keep organised, thanks to ample storage.
