Glebe Residence
Client brief:
The cooking-loving owners of this heritage home in Glebe wished to upgrade the existing tired kitchen and make better use of their limited space. They set out to incorporate laundry facilities, as well as a dining area into their kitchen. Muted colours were on the wish list too, but they wanted to ensure that the room wasn’t left feeling dull and uninteresting.

Design features:
Granite, stone and shades of soft greys form the understated palette of this beautiful kitchen; complementary yet distinct textures and curved lines help keep the visuals interesting. Curves feature in the striking black Qasair range hood, as well as in the rounded edges of the Capolovoro stone dining table and Quantum Quartz Sea Pearl kitchen island. The long and elegant kitchen island holds a pair of integrated Schock sinks and an all-in-one Zip tap.
To maintain the clean and streamlined look that the homeowners were after, appliances have been seamlessly integrated. The Subzero fridge, freezer, and 102 bottle wine storage cabinet are thoughtfully built-in, resulting in clean lines and a gorgeous flow. The kitchen also features two built-in Gaggenau ovens for the owner to create mouth-watering meals for friends and family. An AEG dishwasher makes washing up after entertaining a breeze.
Generous pantry storage is concealed behind floor to ceiling cabinet doors in the nook adjacent to the main kitchen zone. Opposite, behind slightly darker-toned grey doors, is the concealed European laundry, revealing a Miele washer & dryer, an integrated sink and additional storage that can be easily accessed, yet easily tucked away when not in use.
A monochromatic colour palette and clever design features completely transform this space, elevating the kitchen to new heights and shaping the perfect entertaining and living hub.
