Kitchen Design
Our designers used a Caesarstone benchtop in Carina White for this kitchen design. The unblemished appearance of the benchtops in a crisp white colour elevates the space, creating a clean and refined overall look to the kitchen.
Luxurious, spacious and versatile are the keywords for this renovation. The trough Shaws sink is a stunning feature in the kitchen, creating a vintage and cottage-like feel to the space. The tiled backsplash adds texture and depth to the area, ensuring that the all-white design doesn’t feel bland. Additionally, the Brodware tap offers a classic note.
To help keep this space looking clean, refined, and clutter-free, we installed a Fisher and Paykel dishwasher inside the cabinetry. Stowing away the dishwasher ensures that the kitchen appliances do not take away from the old-fashioned feel of the space.
Because the kitchen stove and hob would be visible, we opted for a classic and vintage style – a SMEG oven and cooktop. The stovetop hood is reminiscent of a fireplace mantle, with a floral tile splashback to create a statement feature. We used a Sirius rangehood in this design, which is truly the entire kitchen’s centrepiece.
We installed a Liebherr fridge and freezer and concealed both appliances within large cabinets. Since this is such a classic and elegant design, we wanted the modern devices to benefit the kitchen’s overall aesthetic.
To enhance the elegance of the design, we fitted silver finish bar handles to the kitchen drawers. The sturdiness and prolonged length of these handles add a sense of opulence and sophistication that will stand the test of time and outlive fleeting trends. For the rest of the cabinetry, we used more minimalistic knob handles with a silver finish, ensuring the space is not overwhelmed with embellishments.
